You have identified your battery consumers as TikTok and Snapchat. That is the reason why you are seeing your battery drop so quickly and that also happens whether you use the apps or not as they have background processes that continue to run. It makes no difference what device you use or even the manufacturer of the phone. Battery usage differs between users depending on your personal Social Graph that the companies use to update your profile information. The developers of those apps can change the behavior of battery usage, but there is no incentive to do that because they are letting you use the apps for free and their revenue comes from the data they collect on you to sell to advertisers.
For the message you see that charging was on hold due to iPhone temperature, that is a normal message seen with iOS 18. The phone quick charges to 80%, then pauses to cool down and will continue to charge to 100% or whatever you have chosen for your Charge Limit. That is done to extend your battery life.
The Battery Health is updated only when the phone is able to charge to 100%. When using the Charge Limit, it will still charge to 100% automatically to calibrate the battery. If you take the phone off of the charger before it is allowed to charge to 100%, then updating the Battery Health by calibration will not occur until it has a chance to charge to 100%.
