Period generation issue with iPad keyboard case

Doesn’t happen when disconnected from cover with keyboard or, if mounted on the keyboard if I type in upper case. Weird.

Auto period is turned off.

I have checked for sticky period key but nothing found. Before I go I will reconnect to the cover……………………………………………………………caps lock on. Problem STOPS BRIEFLY BUT IF I STAY IN CAPS, TAP SPACE BAR OR PERIOD THIS HAPPENS………………………………………………………

Seems to be keyboard case but anyone had the same problem?

Thank you. Robert

Yes, I have already tried that and have no issue with random period generation. The bit that foxes me is this.

When I am in an app like Numbers for example, I have no problems with typing correctly. If I go into Notes, it starts to happen. I’m convinced it’s a keyboard problem but despite getting under the space bar and period buttons and cleaning and blowing with compressed air cannot cure it. The other issue is charging my Apple Pencil. No case means no pencil as I don’t know of another way to charge the thing. Will look into it further.

Thanks for responding, I appreciate your time.

Regards, Robert.

Pencil is series 2 and is not able to be charged unless on an iPad with magnetic attachment. The series one type can be charged with a cable but not mine. It does not charge on any magnetic chargers for Apple Watch or phone for example.

it’s a very irritating Magic Keyboard case fault that has developed. It’s inconvenient but life goes on with my portable keyboard I use for my Mac. Just the pencil charging facility is insurmountable but a new Magic Keyboard case is expensive.

Will look for one second hand, thanks for looking at my issue. Aporeciated.
